Hello all! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week! Today I wanted to share a review of PUR Cosmetics Barbie Endless Possibilities Palette. I actually uploaded a mini review and tutorial up on my Youtube channel. I will include those videos below in case anyone is interested.
I was so intrigued when I saw this collection. I only purchased the shadow palette. There are also lipsticks, lashes and a highlight; but I did not need those. Not that I needed the palette, but yeah that’s another story. I loved playing Barbie dolls when I was a kid, so I was super excited when I saw this shadow palette and had to have it.
Just at first glance the palette is gorgeous! From the packaging to the shadows themselves everything is just lovely. The colors that come in the palette are varied. There are some tamer colors and then some bright shades. There are 12 shadows in total in the palette; mainly shimmery satins, with a few mattes and a pressed glitter.
First impressions of the shadows themselves, is that they are nice. They all swatched on my arm easily and had a lot of color payoff. Upon use, I did the find the 2 brown Mattes to be a little powdery. Nothing too crazy, but enough to be slightly noticeable when applying. However the other mattes, the shimmers, satins and work fine. All of the shadows apply smooth and blended out evenly. For the most part they are all soft, but the bright pink matte was a little gritty to touch, but it applied on the eye perfectly fine without any grittiness. Maybe it was just my finger, because on the brush it was okay.
This palette retails for $34.00, which isn’t too expensive but it is not cheap either. The shadows are definitely a decent quality and do last all day. If you are a huge Barbie fan and have a few extra bucks I would recommend purchasing this. Even if you are not into Barbie the palette has some fun colors that you could play around with and make some great looks. However, if you do not want to or cannot spend the extra $34.00, you shouldn’t feel too bad. Although the palette is fantastic and overall I really enjoyed it, there are other palettes and single shadows out there that are comparable and maybe even a little cheaper. I also can’t say I that I probably don’t have all the colors in this palette in other palettes I own; albeit not all together and packaged as pretty as the PUR Barbie Endless Possibilities Palette. What can I say other than, “I’m a Barbie girl in a Barbie world.”
